Rural farming households live on what the harvest brings in. When that income falls short, children’s schooling is often the first thing to go.
1000RootED exists to change that outcome. It is SafeCrop’s learning legacy, built so that children in our operational communities have every chance to learn, grow, and dream beyond their circumstances.
Our first back-to-school campaign delivered 15,225 stationery items to 1,045 students across 14 communities. We also strengthened our ties with cooperatives, rural schools and community leaders, and collected beneficiary data that now shapes how we plan.
This year, we go again. Our partner cooperatives and operational communities have expanded, so the second campaign will reach children in new areas, assess the state of education there, and turn those findings into a long-term commitment.
We have the data, and the access, and we are making it count.
